Killing Me Softly by April Phillips
The second play reading of our monthly play readings. This is a heartwarming and funny, yet heart-pounding play from the multi-award winning playwright, April Phillips. Three friends in their 20s meet regularly to reminisce about school times and their lives since. They play Truth or Dare, what is revealed is both hilarious and shocking. An all female cast, all ethnicities welcome.
Synopsis
Once upon a time there was a crazy slumber party where a group of young women celebrated the end of their high school years.
Since then they have met regularly to reminisce and celebrate again. As the years have gone by the numbers have shrunk and the secrets have grown until there are only three left.
There are rules. They have to arrive ready for slumber and the more outrageous the better. And in playing their ritual game of “Truth or Dare” they must openly bare their lives, loves and fears.
